Marae Learning Story
We walked up to the marae and at the marae we had a welcome. After that, some classes went back to school. We had morning tea and
played outside. It was fun. There were lots of things to play like
soccer. After play, we did an activity. My first activity was making
a star, I made the star out of colored paper. My two colors were blue
and yellow. We had lunch, there were free sausages. My second
activity was making a tent. I was making the poles.
I made sure I was listening to the teacher so I didn’t get lost. In my
next activity, the tent our group made was cold. In my third activity
I learnt how to weave a flower and then we learnt how to pick out
the plant we were weaving with.
After that, we went into the wharenui to take our school photos. I
wasn’t staying over at the marae so we had to go back to school
with the teacher. We missed the teacher so some people in Room
12 went in a van with Karina.
I enjoyed going to the marae, I haven’t stayed over before so next year
I would want to stay over.
The K.C I used at the marae was managing self by getting help while
I was making something in our activities.
The K.C I want to try next time is relating to others by finding new
friends at the marae.

Workshop Reflection When I was with Fritz we played a few games. Our first game was writing the meaning of teamwork, we each had a turn to write our  ideas down. My word was the word happy because I thought when  you are helping each other people we would be happy about it. In our  second game, we had to go into the shape of a circle while we held each other's hands and listened to what the teacher wanted us to do . The first thing the teacher told us to do was to move inwards then  outward. After that, we played a game called tic tac toe. We had to place a bib in a spot where the cones were the cones shaped as nine little squares. Once it's placed you run back to your teammates as  quickly as possible to touch them so it can be their turn and the first  team that scores three in a line is the winner. My favorite was tic tac toe because I knew I was good at it. My team won the first round but we lost in the last round.

Muriwai's Reading Learning Story My book is called Al Capone and it was written by Alan MacDonald and illustrated by Phillip Reeve. My book is nonfiction and I liked my book because it was interesting and it told facts and true stories about what happened ages ago to the main character Al Capone. And I liked that they told about his whole life like when he became famous. Whenever I go to the library and I need to choose a book I look at the chapter books and I always make sure that I read the blurb before I read the book. Reflection When I was reading this book I was good at inferring what was going on in the story and I was good at analyzing and synthesizing by locating important information. My next steps are to find somewhere comfortable to sit where there are no distractions so I can read and I want to be able to evaluate information.

Muriwai’s Maths Learning Story The story in the prob lem is about percentages and decimals Rylee wants to find out how many students at Corinna School would like to do an activity involving skateboards and bikes in their lunchtimes . She sends a survey to 205 students . The survey results come back to her as percentages. How many students want to do each activity?
