Muriwai's Personal Profile

My name is Muriwai and I will tell you all about myself.
I was born July in 27 2006 in Auckland. I am good at parkour
I practice at
the park or at school with my friends and I'm good at sports
like basketball and dodgeball.
I have 2 sisters and 3 brothers. I have been to two schools in
my life. When I was little me and my family lived in Wellington
then we went to Australia
then we moved back to Wellington in 2008.
In school, I like when we get free Christmas presents and when we have holiday parties in the hall for one dollar. Before school, I play tag with my friends.
At home, I like to watch movies and videos at night until I go
to sleep. I also like to play games
on my PS4 and computer when I’m bored.


My dream is to be an animal instead of a human. I want to
be a flying animal because I have
never flown before. I want to be an eagle so lots of other
animals can be scared of me. When
I was little I wanted to be a police when I got older.
My culture is Māori and in Māori, I don't know that much words to say. I want to learn more words and so I can speak about my culture. On Fridays, I go to learn
how to speak Te Reo with Ti.
I enjoy going to Māori.
This is the story of my identity. This is who I am.

Workshop Reflection When I was with Fritz we played a few games. Our first game was writing the meaning of teamwork, we each had a turn to write our  ideas down. My word was the word happy because I thought when  you are helping each other people we would be happy about it. In our  second game, we had to go into the shape of a circle while we held each other's hands and listened to what the teacher wanted us to do . The first thing the teacher told us to do was to move inwards then  outward. After that, we played a game called tic tac toe. We had to place a bib in a spot where the cones were the cones shaped as nine little squares. Once it's placed you run back to your teammates as  quickly as possible to touch them so it can be their turn and the first  team that scores three in a line is the winner. My favorite was tic tac toe because I knew I was good at it. My team won the first round but we lost in the last round.

Muriwai's Reading Learning Story My book is called Al Capone and it was written by Alan MacDonald and illustrated by Phillip Reeve. My book is nonfiction and I liked my book because it was interesting and it told facts and true stories about what happened ages ago to the main character Al Capone. And I liked that they told about his whole life like when he became famous. Whenever I go to the library and I need to choose a book I look at the chapter books and I always make sure that I read the blurb before I read the book. Reflection When I was reading this book I was good at inferring what was going on in the story and I was good at analyzing and synthesizing by locating important information. My next steps are to find somewhere comfortable to sit where there are no distractions so I can read and I want to be able to evaluate information.

Muriwai’s Maths Learning Story The story in the prob lem is about percentages and decimals Rylee wants to find out how many students at Corinna School would like to do an activity involving skateboards and bikes in their lunchtimes . She sends a survey to 205 students . The survey results come back to her as percentages. How many students want to do each activity?
